Monte Mickley
......Monte Mickley is
a technical artist who lives in Nebraska.
His black and white photos are displayed
on this website.
.........
Through
his photography, Monte seeks to create
photos that others can enjoy
communicating about. In his artwork, he
aspires towards a connectivity between
his own art and the art of others. His
designs can sometimes be dramatic or
include an aspect of intrigue.
.........He trained under
the Santa Barbara Artists Tony Askew and
John Carlander. He received his Bachelors
of Art in Art from Westmont College in
Santa Barbara, California.
.........He has been
awarded the best of show in black and
white photography at the Wings Over the
Platte Art Show..He also was
given Westmont College's Karita Kent
Memorial Art Award in 1992 for a
traveling hanging kinetic sculpture and
photos that were taken of the sculpture
in different locations.
.........Monte's
photography has been influenced by Ansel
Adams and his Mother, Carrol Mickley, who
also enjoys photography.
